Weekuly Update, February 8, 2010

This Week:

Practices will run on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. Thursday's practice will run from 7 - 9pm. Ranil will hopefully be out on Monday and Thursday. Please note that there will be a practice on Monday February 15th.

This past weekend was the Ottawa Shield. 5 fencers from WFC traveled to Ottawa to compete: Dan, Mike, Logan, Daniel and Kristina.  Full results to be posted when available, but congratulations to Kristina on her bronze medal in Women's Sabre.

This past weekend was a Women's Sabre World Cup in Orléans. Congratulations to Kathryn who came in 109th in the individual event, and 12th in the team competition (in her debut appearance forTeam Canada).

Youth Program Update:

There is a youth practice this week, but then there are no practices until March 6th. There is a youth competition in Kitchener on February 20th. Please talk to Sandra this Saturday if you are interested in going.

Clubwear:

Tracksuits have now arrived. For those that ordered them, please talk to Terri.

We are going to be ordering WFC Fencing Bags shortly. These are based on the Leon Paul 518WS bag, but come in club colours, and with the club logo screenprinted. Pricing will probably be around $360 depending on the eventual import duty and exchange rates. If you are interseted in purchasing one, please contact info@westdalefencing.com before February 15th.
