Weekly Update: July 12, 2010
This Week:
All practices are running as usual this week, and all the coaches will be out as normal. Jen will be out on Monday to run another core class, and is available for massage treatments also - talk to Ranil to book.
This weekend, a number of our fencers took part in a photo shoot with Peter Bregg. It was a very fun, but very tiring day - many thanks to those who took part. Pictures should be available for viewing in a couple of weeks.
Friends and Family Day 2010:
Friends and Family Day is a WFC tradition which allows parents, siblings, friends and rivals to come and see what all the fuss is about. This year, Friends and Family Day will take place on July 17th. Due to (anticipated) demand, we will be running 2 'try fencing' sessions and then a picnic in the afternoon at Dundurn Castle.
For more details, or to sign up, please click here, or talk to one of the coaches. The picnic is pot-luck, so please start thinking about what you might be able to bring to share, and expect to see sign-up sheets appearing in the club over the next week or so.
The day is normally a lot of fun, and a great way to meet some of our other fencers and coaches whom you don't normally get a chance to see - please come if you can!
Summer Closures:
The club will be closed from August 7th - August 20th for a short summer break.
There will be coaching workshops running on August 21st and 22nd. Any fencers wishing to drop in for some extra practice time with some coaches in training should email info@westdalefencing.com. Normal practices will resume on August 23rd.
Fee Reminder
Effective July 1st our fees will be subject to HST at the rate of 13%. Please check our fee schedule for your new rate. Contact Terri if you have any questions.
