Summer Shutdown
Westdale Fencing Club is now on summer shutdown and there will be no regular practices from August 9th - 20th. There will be a couple of special Saturday events in the interim (contact info@westdalefencing.com for details) and normal services will resume on August 21st.

This Week:
All practices will run as usual this week. Ranil will be out on Monday, and hopefully on Wednesday and Thursday. Jen will not be out tonight (as far as we know!). This is the last week of practices before our summer shutdown.

There will be coaching workshops running on August 21st and 22nd. Any fencers wishing to drop in for some extra practice time with some coaches in training should email info@westdalefencing.com. Normal practices will resume on August 23rd.

This Week:
Monday and Thursday practices are running as usual this week, and there will be NO core class after Monday's practice. Wednesday night's practice will likely run until 8 or so as we should have some out of town visitors (if they show up!).
This past weekend was the 2010 Friends and Family Day. Despite being a little soggy, the day was a big success. Many thanks to Banks, Dulac and the Kinneys for helping to organise, as well as everybody who came out to play.

This Week:
All practices are running as usual this week, and all the coaches will be out as normal. Jen will be out on Monday to run another core class, and is available for massage treatments also - talk to Ranil to book.
This weekend, a number of our fencers took part in a photo shoot with Peter Bregg. It was a very fun, but very tiring day - many thanks to those who took part. Pictures should be available for viewing in a couple of weeks.

This year, Friends and Family Day will take place on July 17th. Due to (anticipated) demand, we will be running 2 'try fencing' sessions and then a picnic in the afternoon at Dundurn Castle.

This past weekend was the Pomme De Terre competition in Boston. Daniel placed 29/48 oin E and under, and 95th in the Open Foil competition.
This coming Saturday will be the last youth class of the 09/10 season. Please check the website in July for details about our September youth programming.
