Please note that the earlier class will start at 5:30 as usual tonight - there have not been any changes in time just yet.
The later class will start at 6:30.
Sandra and Ranil will only be out briefly tonight.
Weekly Update: April 9, 2012
This Week:
All practices will run as usual this week (there *is* a practice on Monday night). Ranil and Sandra will be out at all 3. Dan will be out on Monday and Thurday. There is a yoga class on Monday night. All are welcome. Please note that yoga classes now cost $15.
This past week was the Challenge des Nations youth competition. Brandon Jalowica finished 22 / 48.
2012 Friends and Family Day:
Registration for our 2012 Friends and Family day is available here. Please sign up sooner rather than later so we can try and ensure we have appropriate equipment available.
Weekly Update: April 2nd
All practices are running as normal this week. Dan will be out on Monday only, Ranil will be out on Thursday only.
Cadet World Championships:
Congratulations to Tia who qualified for the round of 64 out of poules and finished 41/66 at the Cadet World Championships in Moscow, Russia.

This weekend was also the Cadet and Y14 Provincial Championships. WFC results:

New Gloves!
If you look in our glove cupboard, you will see that we have replaced all of our club gloves now, thanks to the fundraising initiative last Christmas. Many thanks to all who helped out with this!

Only Monday and Wednesday classes are running this week. There are no practices on Thursday or Saturday since most folks will be away. Sandra and Ranil will be out on Monday and Wednesday. Dan will be out on Monday only. There is no yoga class on Monday night.

This Week

Selection
Congratulations to Tia, who has been selected to represent Team Canada at the 2012 Cadet World Championships.

This Week:
There will be no classes on Monday night. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday classes will run as planned. Sandra will likely be the only coach out this week.
This past week was the Michigan State Open. Congratulations to Kinney who came in 2/22 in the Sabre event.

This Week:
There will be no practice or classes on Monday due to Family Day. Wednesday and Thursday practices will run as usual. Sandra will be out on Wednesday and Thursday. Ranil will be out on Thursday only (probably), and Dan will not be out at all this week. Terri will also not be out at all this week. Payments can be made to Bob, Amy, Kristina, Paul or Anna.
This weekend were the 2012 OUA Women's Championships. Congratulations to Kristina who placed 2nd, and won the Dave O'Donnell Trophy for Sportswomenship!
This weekend was also the 2012 Junior Olympics. Merriman placed 77/183 in CMF and 92/171 in JMF.

Keeping things tidy:
We have had a request from the church to please make sure that the stage area is left clear at the end of every practice. Please make sure you take your water bottles / rubbish / clothing away with you at the end of the night.
Youth program:
Due to a number of kids moving up into senior programs, we currently have a few spaces open in our youth program for the first time in a few years, and we would like to fill these. If you're able to help put up a few posters for us, please contact info@westdalefencing.com. Similarly, if you know of any youth who have been waiting for a spot to open up, please have them contact us!
Security:
The church has had some problems with security of late. We will be locking the doors shortly after the start of each practice from now on. The church has fixed the doorball, so if you find that the doors are locked, please ring the bell (the button is on the right hand side) and someone will let you in.
